Invite members and team roles

Invite people to a team by email, accept or decline invitations, and see exactly what Owner, Admin, Moderator and Viewer can do in Signalsant.

Invite people

  1. Open Teams, then the team, then the Members tab.
  2. Click Add members.
  3. Under Invite by email, enter each address and pick a role. Use Add another for more rows. You can invite up to 50 people at once.
  4. Click Send N invites (Send 1 invite for one person).

You need the Admin role or higher to invite. New invites default to Viewer.

  • Someone who already has an account gets an email and sees the invite in Teams → Invitations.
  • Someone without an account gets an email that takes them to sign up. The invite is waiting once they do.

Pending invites are listed under Pending invitations, with Resend invitation and Cancel invitation in each row's menu.

Accept or decline an invitation

Open Teams → Invitations and click Accept or Decline. Once you accept, you'll see "You joined" and the team's name.

Roles

Each role can do everything the roles below it can.

Role Can
Viewer See the team's companies, groups, campaigns, templates, integrations, outbox and dashboard. Read-only.
Moderator Everything a Viewer can, plus: run Deep Searches; manage groups, templates and campaigns; connect and test mailboxes; edit team details; claim and edit businesses.
Admin Everything a Moderator can, plus: invite and remove members; change roles; delete campaigns, Deep Searches and integrations; disconnect mailboxes. Admins can't manage other admins, and only the owner can make someone an Admin.
Owner Everything, including deleting the team. Whoever creates a team is its owner.

On team pages you only see the actions your role allows. Elsewhere, such as Integrations and Templates, every role sees the same buttons, and Signalsant shows an error if your role is too low.

Change a role or remove a member

On the Members tab, change the Role in a member's row, or choose Remove from team from the row's menu. You need the Admin role or higher; rows you can't manage show a lock. Changing the role of a pending invite sends a fresh invitation.

Leave a team

Open the team's Details and use Leave team, or pick it from the team's menu on Teams. The owner can't leave their own team.

Good to know

  • Ownership can't be transferred, and nobody else can be made Owner.
  • There's no limit on team size.
