Deep Search results and statuses

Every Deep Search you start is listed under Companies → Deep search. The list shows each search's Query, Location, Progress (pages done out of the total), Status, Companies found and when it was Created.

Use Search by query and the status filter to find one.

Statuses#

On a search's page#

• Companies found, Pages crawled with a progress bar and, if any, Failed pages.
• A Companies found table with Name, Address and Industry. Search it with Search these results, and click a row to open the company.

The table fills in as pages complete. A business shows up as a company once it has been processed, which can take a little while after its page finishes.

Companies found counts every listing the pages returned, including businesses Signalsant already knew. Signalsant doesn't create duplicates: a business it has seen before is updated rather than added again. So the number of new companies can be lower.

Actions#

Pausing, resuming, restarting and creating a group need the Moderator role. Deleting needs Admin. There's no Cancel or Edit: pause or delete the search, then start a new one.

Turn the results into a group#

1. On a completed search, open the ⋯ menu and choose Create group.
2. Check the Group name; it starts as the query.
3. Confirm.

The group gets every company from the search that has been processed so far. You'll see "Created group with N of M companies found so far" and the group opens. Companies still being processed aren't included; you can add them later. See Add and remove companies.

Troubleshooting#

• "Deep search not found": it was deleted, or it belongs to another team. Check the team switcher.
• Progress stopped moving: check whether it's Paused. While paused it shows "Paused at" with the percentage done.
• A company has no email yet: emails come from crawling the company's website after it's found. See How enrichment works.
