Connect a Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com mailbox so campaign email goes out from your own address. You sign in with Microsoft, so Signalsant never sees your password.

Before you start

  • You need the Moderator role or higher in the team.
  • Pick the team you want to connect it to in the team switcher.
  • The account must have its own mailbox. A guest account in another organisation's directory can't send.

Steps

  1. Open Integrations and click Add integration.
  2. On Connect a mailbox, choose Outlook.
  3. Under Connection details, check the Integration name, for example "Sales Outlook".
  4. Leave Use the mailbox I authorize switched on, so the address comes straight from Microsoft's consent screen.
  5. Click Continue with Microsoft.
  6. Sign in to Microsoft and accept the permissions.
  7. You return to Integrations with the message "Integration connected successfully".

What Signalsant asks Microsoft for

Microsoft asks you to allow:

  • signing you in and reading your basic profile and email address;
  • sending mail as you;
  • keeping that access, so campaigns can send while you're away.

Signalsant can't read your mailbox.

Senders

The address you authorized becomes the default sender. To add aliases, connect first, then add them on the integration's Senders tab. If you switch off Use the mailbox I authorize, only the addresses you list under Sender emails are added. See Senders and the default sender.

Limits

Microsoft rejects a single message whose attachments add up to more than 3 MB.

Troubleshooting

  • The new integration has no sender: Signalsant couldn't read the mailbox address, for example because the account is a guest in another organisation's directory. Add the sender on the Senders tab, or delete the integration and connect with an account that has its own mailbox.
  • "Invalid or expired OAuth state": the sign-in link expires after 10 minutes. Start again from Add integration.
  • Your organisation blocks the consent screen: your Microsoft 365 admin may need to allow the app before you can approve it.
  • The card later shows "Access revoked": see Reconnect a mailbox.
